In this lecture Dr. Struthers will analyze interracial solidarities in Los Angeles and into Mexico between Anglos, Mexicans, Italians, Japanese, and many others. Nurtured by the disparate interracial and multilingual organizing efforts by the Partido Liberal Mexicano (PLM), Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), and many unaffiliated anarchists and socialists workers developed a culture of affinity, which gave rise to the strongest boundary crossing relationships that bridged national, ethnic, racial, and linguistic difference.
